Go to the "Premiere Color" section and make your choice of stain or paint.  When you have made your choice, send me the STAIN NUMBER.  This is critical so we do not apply the wrong stain color.  Mistakes have happened and if you send me the name, I will email you for the number.

If you are not sure of the color, stain or wood species and want more stain blocks, they are $15.00 each plus shipping.

Special Stains or Matching Stains

Finish Works are experts at matching stains.  We have completed this service for many clients and they were ecstatic.  Depending on what your order, this cost is usually absorbed by us, but if it is a small item or if a quote has been already presented to you, there is special stain charge of $95.00 just for the stain.  We will send you a stain block with your color match before the sale is consummated.  I do not like surprises. There is always a minor difference due to wood aging, moisture and ultra violet.

Special Notice

If you order several items such as table and chairs and even a hutch for your home and you need a special stain not in our catalog, we will match that stain color.  This is a bit more expensive for me, and also takes a bit more time and attention, but the results is my goal.  All parts will look the same without any deviation.  We are committed to quality and take the necessary steps to insure that quality.

 We take special precautions that all of your furniture is finished at only one finish house and by the same person. 

In a lot of the products you will see a “Standard Stain’ and a “Red Stain”, In order to control our inventories we must have these choices. However, you can order any stain on the stain chart, but this is considered a custom order and will take 4 – 7 weeks for delivery and once you purchase the item you have 48 hours to change your mind, because then, this item becomes yours and we do not have a restocking fee on returns for custom items.
The stain colors are currently,
Oak:
Standard: Medium Walnut
Red Stain: Michael’s Cherry

Cherry:
Standard: Washington Cherry
Natural: Natural and almost all cases – this is a custom order

Quarter Sawn White Oak:
Both selections are Michael’s Cherry

This change went into recently and I am changing the site accordingly as I have time. These changes were based and popularity and inventory considerations.
Note 1:
Natural Cherry. This wood with the Natural stain will darken and often at an uneven consistency. You may see some darker streaks at time, but this is the effect of this type of wood and not the stain.
Note: 2
All woods will darken a bit over time. This is the natural course of the wood.
Of course, you may order any stain shown, but it is a custom order and we do not charge extra for stains or colors on almost all products. There are just a few. Other enhancements like a high gloss and distressing have an additional charge.
